Please note: Wholesale orders must be arranged with the seed grower directly
The Westlock Seed Cleaning Co-op Ltd. was formed in 1942 and presently has a shareholder base of 825 members. We process cereals, pulse crops and also separations, human consumption peas, malt barley plus pony oats. We specialize in pedigreed seed processing and have 80 pedigreed seed bins with a storage capacity exceeding 200,000 bushels surrounding the cleaning plant. We process and retail seed grain for 13 seed growers and have one of the largest selections of pedigreed seed for sale in Alberta.
With an expansion to our plant, which was completed in the spring of 2004, our capacity is now over 45,000 bushels of in-house storage. We now have two receiving legs, which provides a quick unloading service. Our expansion has also enabled us to double treating capacity to approximately 45 bushels per minute. We have the ability to bring clean seed into the plant for treating in the winter or spring.
Treating and Cleaning
Our cleaning line consists of a buffer, indent, air/screen machine and a gravity table. We are equipped with 3 scales, which provide for quick weighing services.
