When the association was formed over half a century ago, its directors had a goal to establish seed cleaning plants across the province. Today, the association has 71 member plants which process 31.5 million bushels annually and 1 grain terminal auxiliary member.

Not only do the plants clean pedigreed and common seed to the highest standards but the plants provide value-added processing products for specialty marketing including everything from pony oats to peanuts. Our Vision - To be Leaders in the Advancement of a Viable Seed Processing Industry.

The Association of Alberta Co-op Seed Cleaning Plants plays a vital role in coordinating services for the seed plants and makes an important contribution to the crop improvement through the prevention and control of weeds, improving the quality of seed and promoting up-to-date methods of applying seed treatment chemicals for control of diseases and insects.
