Agronomy Update Conference Leaving AAF and Going Virtual

The commodity groups are taking over the 2021 Agronomy Update conference from Alberta Agriculture and Forestry (AAF), the groups say in a news release on Nov. 4. The conference will also be going virtual due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“The commissions recognize the dedication and effort of all those who have worked over the years to make Agronomy Update the valuable conference that it is today. The commissions strive to carry on and grow the conference with the needs of producers in mind so that it continues to be one of the leading agronomy events in Alberta,” the release says.

The annual conference provides timely agronomy information to producers and agronomists. It has traditionally been a two-day, in-person event hosted by AAF, but with the ongoing Alberta agriculture program transition Alberta Barley, Alberta Canola, Alberta Pulse Growers, and Alberta Wheat Commission, have taken over the event.

It will be held on Jan. 19 to 20. Topics and speakers are still be finalized, with a full agenda and registration details to be announced soon, the release notes.
