FarmTech to Go Ahead in January with In-Person/Virtual Event

After a one-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic FarmTech will return to Edmonton, Alta. on Jan. 25 and 26, 2022, the FarmTech Foundation of Alberta says in a news release on Oct. 4.

The 2022 event will be managed by Kiwi Productions Inc. and offer attendees a hybrid in-person and online model.

“The FarmTech Foundation of Alberta is excited to showcase the event’s evolution and progress for 2022,” Janine Paly, FarmTech Foundation’s committee chair, says in the release. “We look forward to expanding FarmTech’s reach thanks to Kiwi Productions expertise in conducting hybrid and in-person event experiences.”

“Our team is working with the committee’s vision to ensure the best experience for those who plan to attend FarmTech both in person and online,” Bryce Lambert, CEO of Kiwi Productions, says in the release. “Hosting a hybrid event will bring more value for sponsors who help make FarmTech possible and for attendees who prefer joining in virtually.”

The conference is being held at Edmonton Expo Centre and will offer a mix of sessions ranging from big picture concepts to practical farming solutions. It’s expected to attract over 70 exhibitors as well as 1,000 in-person, and hundreds of virtual attendees from across the province.

The release notes FarmTech will be adhering and complying to all safety protocols mandated by both Alberta Health Services and the City of Edmonton.

The FarmTech Foundation of Alberta is includes Alberta Barley, Alberta Canola, Alberta Pulse Growers, and the Alberta Wheat Commission.
