Corteva has launched their new herbicide Exhilarate, which protects wheat and barley crops, in Canada, the company says in a news release on Jan. 12.
Exhilarate is a dual mode-of-action herbicide which provides control of tough-to-kill weeds, including cleavers, hemp-nettle, and dandelion, while also helping to delay the onset of herbicide resistance, the release says.
“The introduction of Exhilarate herbicide means Canadian cereal farmers will have another reliable tool to help them manage hard-to-control weeds at a time when herbicide resistance continues to be an increasing concern,” Kelly Bennett, Western Canada herbicides category leader with Corteva Agriscience Canada, says in the release.
Exhilarate brings together the performance of Paradigm herbicide with MCPA Ester to deliver a complete broadleaf solution for wheat and barley farmers, the release notes. By including Arylex it allows for a flexible application window, meaning farmers can spray in early or late crop staging, and even in cool or dry conditions.
